BURN PRIZE
Purpose
The prize was conceived and established to promote the aims of the International Society for Burn Injuries and to motivate individual investigators to conduct research provide patient care and treatment, and address other aspects of the burn problem.
Applications
Applications for the 2026 TVB Burn Prize will open in September 2025 and close in January 2026. Individuals or organizations who are interested in more information should check back here in September 2025.
Eligibility
The prize will be awarded to a person or organization that has an outstanding contribution to any aspect of the burn care field. This could be a specific achievement or may represent a body of work over a of years. Colleagues may make nominations, or a candidate may apply on their own behalf. The recipient does not have to be a member of the ISBI, nor do they have to be a physician, but they should be responsible for major advancements in the field of burn care.
Award
The prize consists of a gold pin and a cash payment in the amount of approximately $100,000.
Presentation
The 2026 TVB Burn Prize will be presented in October 2026 in Santiago, Chile, at the 23rd Congress of the International Society for Burn Injuries. Please visit the ISBI Biennial Congress website for more information about the event.
